Configuring Ivanti Neurons for PPM
Important: Edit and read-only permissions for metadata components including fields, relationships, forms, lists, layouts, triggered actions, saved searches and pick lists are indicated by a green pencil 
or red dot 
icon in the Configuration console. Components indicating a green pencil icon can be edited; components indicating a red dot icon are read-only. Components with no icon displayed can be edited and deleted. You can duplicate a read-only component and then edit it. Metadata components marked with a yellow pencil 
icon indicate a soft lock, meaning they have limited edit permissions. For more information on Soft lock, see Modifying a Business Object with Soft lock.
Configure the following features before using Ivanti Neurons for PPM:
PPM Roles
PPM Roles are used in Resourcing Plans to filter resources for Task assignments. Set up PPM Roles in the Configuration console using the Project Role object.
Focus Areas
Neurons for PPM includes the following Focus Areas:
- Customer Satisfaction
- Financial Growth
- Innovation/Product
- People/Culture
- Processes/Operations
Add additional areas in the Configuration console using the PPM Project Area pick list.
Strategic Objectives
Strategic Objectives can be associated with Portfolios, Programs, and Demands. Set up PPM Roles in the Configuration console using the Strategic Objective object. A Demand Manager, Project Manager, or Portfolio Manager can also create a new Strategic Objective while working on Portfolios.
Use the Stakeholders tab in a Strategic Objective record to add employees involved in the creation and management of an organization's Strategic Objectives.
Executive Approval Committee
Demands with a budget of over $1 million must be approved by a designated executive approval group.
To create an executive approval group:
- In the Configuration console, select Users and Permissions > Groups.
- Select the Demand Executive Approvals group.
- Link employees you want to add to the group.
