modern forms are not supported for production in production environments, modern layouts allowed you to deploy modern list rendering (including list, kanban, and gallery formats) with enhanced user navigation, while continuing to use the classic ui to display individual records release 2026 2 5 adds the capability to begin development of layouts that include modern forms · this should be considered a preview release modern forms are not yet feature complete and cannot be used in production environments · modern forms functionality has been exposed to allow customers to develop familiarity with the modern ui toolset and begin migration assessments and planning migration to modern forms will be enabled in a future release customers will not need to convert to modern forms all at once; phased migration to modern forms will be supported modern forms ui switcher the ui switcher allows administrators to toggle between classic forms rendering and modern forms rendering to assist in the configuration and testing of modern ui forms this function is not intended for end users and will not be exposed to other roles · you must configure a modern layout with modern lists before you can add modern forms administrators can · switch to the modern v3 form experience (classic v1 forms are defaulted) validate layouts, configurations, and form design test migration readiness before enabling v3 forms more broadly standard users · there is no change to the current classic form rendering · if modern layouts have been implemented for an object for a role, standard users in that role will use modern list rendering and navigation for that object migration approach ivanti recommends using the temporary ui switcher as part of a phased migration strategy phase 1 – production uses classic forms optionally deploy modern layout list views end users remain on classic v1 forms existing business processes continue unchanged phase 2 – validate modern forms administrators migrate existing forms or build new forms using the modern ui v3 form designer use the ui switcher to review v3 forms evaluate form configurations, layouts, and user experience phase 3 – migrate to modern ui with modern forms (not yet supported) transition fully to v3 forms – ivanti will enable the ability to cutover and default to modern ui forms in a future release retire dependency on classic forms the temporary ui switcher is intended as a temporary migration aid and should not be considered a long term dual ui strategy customers are encouraged to continue planning and working on migration to modern v3 forms the objective of this feature is to help organizations bridge the gap between modern list adoption and modern form adoption while minimizing operational disruption
