System > Global Settings
The Virtual Traffic Manager software provides an extensive set of configurable global settings. You can access these by clicking System > Global Settings. They cover aspects of the Virtual Traffic Manager that are not related to individual services or traffic, and are divided into the following categories:
Category | Description |
|---|---|
Enhanced Traffic Management | Enables advanced load balancing for UDP services |
System Settings | Define the network and system settings for each Virtual Traffic Manager. |
EC2 Account Settings | Control how the Virtual Traffic Manager interacts with the Amazon EC2 API. |
Cache Settings | Control the behavior of the shared caches in each Virtual Traffic Manager. |
FIPS 140-2 Configuration | Determines whether "FIPS Mode" is enabled. This mode allows the Virtual Traffic Manager to process traffic using a FIPS 140-2 cryptographic module. |
SSL Configuration | Control the behavior of the SSL support. |
SSL Hardware Support | Apply to any additional SSL hardware used by the Virtual Traffic Manager. |
Logging | Control how the Virtual Traffic Manager performs logging for system events and virtual server access. |
SSO Settings | Control how Virtual Traffic Manager supports SSO (Single Sign-On) login(s). |
State Synchronization Settings | Control how cluster members share their state data. |
Idle Connection Settings | Control how idle HTTP connections to nodes are managed. |
Java Extension Settings | Control how the Java Extension process is initialized and managed. |
Login and Security Settings | Control user login behavior (see Login Security and Behavior). |
Web Accelerator | Control global properties for Ivanti Web Accelerator. |
Enterprise Authentication | Controls the behavior of SAML-based enterprise authentication in your services (see Providing Authentication for your Services). |
Telemetry | Controls the optional reporting of anonymous usage data to Ivanti. This data facilitates product improvements and enhances Ivanti’s ability to provide technical support. |
Other Settings | Control other miscellaneous Virtual Traffic Manager settings. |
Clicking on the arrow beside each category unfolds the options for that category. When you have finished making changes, click the Update button. You can use the Restore Defaults button to restore all the global settings to the system defaults.
ATTENTION Take care when modifying any of these settings. The default values have been chosen to give good performance on a wide range of systems, and to preserve the stability and security of the software. Configuring these settings incorrectly could compromise the stability and security of your system, and may impact performance.
