Service Mapping	Feature Enhancements
Discovery	Easier Identification of Azure Resources: Azure resources display a readable Subscription Name alongside the Subscription ID, making it easier to identify and manage resources. Improved Azure Resource Organization: Virima automatically maps relationships between Azure Subscriptions and their associated Resource Groups during Azure imports, providing clearer visibility into subscription hierarchies through the Relationships tab and ViVID dependency maps. Automatic Discovery of IIS SSL/TLS Certificates: Deep Host scans automatically detect SSL/TLS certificates used in IIS HTTPS bindings, including issuer, validity, and expiration details, improving certificate visibility and management. VLAN Discovery for Network Switches: SNMP-based network scans discover and display VLAN IDs and VLAN names directly in Switch CI records, helping teams better understand network segmentation. Improved vCenter Tag Collection: vCenter tags are collected more reliably across all supported components. VM tags are also automatically mapped to the correct CI when IP addresses match. New Scan Option – “Resolve IP to Hostname”: A new scan mode allows VIRIMA to resolve IP addresses to hostnames before scanning. Devices that cannot be resolved are automatically skipped and marked as Unknown. Improved Network Device Serial Number Mapping: Network device serial numbers are mapped more consistently across discovery results for improved inventory accuracy. Enhanced SNMP Discovery for Servers: Server discovery through SNMP supports additional server properties and component details for richer infrastructure visibility. Improved Infrastructure Relationship Mapping for F5 and NetScaler Nodes: F5 and NetScaler nodes automatically display their relationship to the underlying physical infrastructure in the CMDB and service maps.
CMDB	Installed Software Reports for Multiple Windows CIs: Users can generate consolidated software reports directly from the CMDB list view for multiple Windows systems at once. Warranty Dates Included in CMDB Exports: Warranty Start Date and Warranty End Date are now included in CMDB export files to improve asset lifecycle tracking.
Discovery Application (v6.1.4028) & Agent (v6.1.122) Note: This update is optional and only necessary if you want to use the listed improvements.	Improved Temporary File Cleanup: Temporary files created during discovery are cleaned up automatically to help maintain system stability and reduce unnecessary storage usage. Improved Certificate Discovery Through Agent Scans: Windows agent-based scans capture and store certificate information more reliably. Faster Agent Schedule Page Performance: The Agent Schedule page loads faster, provides a smoother user experience. Faster Bulk Agent Schedule Deletion: Bulk deletion of agent schedules is more reliable and performs more efficiently. Improved Install and Schedule Workflow: Agent installation correctly applies scheduled scan settings during setup.

Fixes

These fixes automatically display upon upgrade and do not disrupt daily use for existing customers.

Fixed Scheduled Scan Save Issue Using Host Names: Resolved an issue preventing users from saving scheduled scans when scanning through host names. Improved Serial Number Detection for Windows and Linux: Serial number discovery is more accurate and consistent across physical, virtual, and cloud systems. Improved SNMP Switch Discovery: Switch scans correctly retrieve software versions and hostnames through SNMP discovery. Improved Hostname-Based Scanning: Discovery probes correctly use hostnames instead of IP addresses when hostname-based scanning is selected. Consistent Scan Logs in PDF Exports: Exported scan logs match the on-screen view and include complete log information. Correct MSSQL-to-Server Relationship Mapping: MSSQL instances properly display their associated Windows Server relationships in the CMDB. Improved Hyper-V VM Discovery: Resolved issues affecting discovery of virtual machines hosted on Hyper-V systems. Improved Visibility for Hyper-V and Windows Cluster Relationships: Discovery provides more accurate visibility into Hyper-V VM relationships and Windows cluster node associations.
CMDB	Improved MMC Certificate Mapping: Certificate information discovered through MMC is mapped correctly to each CI, even when multiple hosts share the same IP address.
Admin	Fixed Blueprint Export Issue: Blueprint exports from the Administration page complete successfully without interruption.
Discovery Application (v6.1.4028) & Agent (v6.1.122) Note: This update is optional and only necessary if you want to use the listed improvements.	Correct Asset Identification During Initial Agent Scan: Newly installed agents correctly display the appropriate asset information during the first scan. Improved “Last Logged In” Time Display: The Last Logged In time displays using the user's browser time zone for improved consistency. Improved Scheduled Scan Data Collection: Resolved an issue where some component data was not being collected during scheduled agent scans. Improved Stability with Multiple Connected Agents: The Discovery Application performs more reliably when handling multiple connected agents simultaneously. Improved Peripheral Device Serial Number Discovery: Windows scans extract serial numbers for peripheral devices more accurately. Improved Proxy Connectivity for Agent Scans: Agent-based scans reliably communicate through configured proxy servers. "Current Status" Renamed to "Current Activity": The Discovery Application label "Current Status" is renamed to "Current Activity" for better clarity. Improved Installed Software Discovery via Agent Scans: Installed software is discovered more accurately during agent-based scans. Improved Agent Offline State Updates: Agent state is updated correctly when a Discovery Client goes offline.

Required actions post-release

Users are advised to Clear/Delete their respective Browser Cache before using Service Mapping after the release.

Go to the Admin portal > Client (Discovery) page.

Click on the update icon to update version 6.1.4028.

Note: If you click the update button and the application does not update to the latest version, network restrictions may be preventing the update from downloading. In this case, download and install the latest version of the application or manually update it. To manually update the post-release, follow the steps below:

Stop the Virima Discovery Application.

Click the appUpdates_6.1.4028.zip link and download the update file on the Discovery Application machine.

Extract the downloaded ZIP file.

Replace the files in the installation directory with the extracted files, using the paths below:

DAClient.jar --> C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\

version.txt --> C:\Program Files\Virima Discovery Application\

Note: Copy the individual files from inside the lib folder to the destination.

Start the Virima Discovery Application.
