Getting started
Ivanti Neurons for Service Mapping provides visibility into your cloud or data-center network topology, enabling you to view infrastructure relationships, app dependencies, communication flows, and service mappings related to both ITSM and ITOM processes.
NOTE: You can use Ivanti Neurons for Service Mapping as a standalone product or integrate it into your existing Ivanti Neurons for ITSM environment. This guide provides instructions for setting up Service Mapping as a standalone product only. To integrate with ITSM, contact your Ivanti representative.
To get started using Ivanti Neurons for Service Mapping, first review your welcome email from Ivanti containing both the URL to the application website and the temporary credentials for logging in for the first time.
Once you’re logged in, you need to configure the application for your environment before using it. The broad steps for doing this are as follows:
- Import CIs in bulk or add them manually to the application.
- Create departments and locations.
- Create user groups and roles and add users to the application.
- Configure the discovery options.
