Ivanti Access has an email-based One-Time Password (OTP) recovery option for users who lose access to their Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) device. This feature provides a secure and convenient way to regain account access without administrative intervention. Users can request an OTP via email to authenticate and reset their 2FA settings.
Procedure
- Enter your username and password on the login screen.
- Click Sign In to proceed.
- On the next screen, enter the 2FA code from your authenticator app (e.g., Ivanti Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator).
- If you cannot access your 2FA device, click Can't access 2FA device? This triggers an OTP email to your registered email address.
- On the next screen, enter the OTP received via email.
The OTP expires in 5 minutes.
- If you enter the correct OTP:
- 2FA is turned off for your account.
- You are redirected to the 2FA setup screen to reconfigure your authentication method.
- If you enter an incorrect OTP five times, you will be blocked for 1 hour and redirected to the login screen.
- Click Resend OTP if needed:
- You can resend OTP up to four times within 10 minutes.
- After the fourth request, the Resend OTP option is disabled for 1 hour.
