Ivanti Go for iOS complies with global GDPR privacy regulations by using containers and app wrapping. Your personal information remains private and untracked. Ivanti Go for iOS only manages business-related information and managed apps. If you have any queries, use the app’s Support tab or contact your administrator.
- Secure Container: Managed apps like business emails and documents are installed and run in an encrypted “container” area. Data in this container is protected and isolated from your personal apps and files.
- App Wrapping: Some apps are “wrapped” by Ivanti solutions. As a result, business policies such as password requirements and data restrictions apply only to business-related data, not to your personal apps or files.
- Selective Wipe: If your device is lost, stolen, or you leave the organization, only corporate data and apps in the container are wiped, and your personal data remains untouched.
Indication of Data Separation
- Managed apps: Managed work apps on iOS devices are indicated with a briefcase or business icon, as shown in the App Catalog section.
- Personal apps remain private: These are never listed or accessed by Ivanti solutions or admin consoles.
- Device compliance: Only business-related compliance metrics are tracked and displayed (example, whether encryption is enabled or the OS is updated).
- Location services: The user will retain the ability to enable or disable location services on their devices.
