## Purpose

The Url Selector can further restrict the URLs of the path.

## Recommendations for use

Use the Url Selector if you want to set up a further restriction for a path. Other than the regular expression for a path the regular expression for the Url Selector is applied to the complete URL, not just to the part after the prefix.

## Attributes

| --------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| url       | Regular expression that defines the pattern of the URLs.<br />The precondition is met if the URL part of a request matches this pattern. In this case, vWAF observes the rules stored for the path (assuming any other additional preconditions specified are also met).<br />For details on the syntax, see [Regular Expressions](docId\:lIxeIxmAC-18te7JGz_Uz). |
