The **Manufacturer** workspace enables Asset Administrators to create and maintain a master list of manufacturers for use in the asset records that display in a number of workspaces. The Manufacturer workspace is read-only for other user roles.

**To create a new manufacturer**

1. Open the **Manufacturer** workspace. This workspace shows a list of existing manufacturers in your database.
2. Click **New Manufacturer** at the top of the list. The Manufacturer page displays.
3. Enter a **Name** for the manufacturer.
4. Click **Save**.
