You can use Ivanti Neurons for Service Mapping in environments that are cloud-only, on-premises, or a combination of both.

For on-premises environments, you must deploy a discovery agent to at least one data center server that will conduct a “probe” or discovery scan for other devices on the network and begin mapping the relationships. For instructions on how to deploy the discovery agent, contact your Ivanti representative.

You can also view and edit discovery options for each client (which is the server that has the discovery agent installed) and add new client credentials that will be used during the scan.

For cloud-only environments, APIs do the discovery work by default, so no agents are required.
